From the brand: We spend quite a bit of time on the road and a good fair amount in the weaving mills of India. Our travels through Chennai (formerly Madras), the home of the madras cloth, is always a highlight. The local weavers perfected the art of weaving loose "power loom" fabrics into the recognizable "madras cloth." This season we dug into the 1970's archives of the weaving mill that has been in the same family for over 50 years. The soft and light cloth is ideal for the hot and humid weather of the subcontinent. Using the same techniques, we took a this classic for a spin and added a floral motif that is ideal for the summer months.
