V17.1 Public Batch 8 Notes:
A small revision from v17: We increased the elastic in the arch of the foot, and reduced the length of the footbed by 10 knit rows. This should allow for a more snug fit, and better expansion when wearing for prolonged periods of time.
We are also experimenting with a small version of the Sitka, with two gray yarns internally.
When studying the outdoor gear revolution of the 70s, we imagined what our Lichen sock experiment would have looked like. In this rare detour on technicality, we experiment with practicality. Our goal is to create an all purpose, all winter, full terry sock. Each pinaceae colorway mimics the growth on the trees of the Pacific Northwest in Blue Spruce, Ponderosa, and Sitka.
