Product Description

Experience the edgy appeal of this faux leather jacket crafted from post-industrial plant waste. With a unique structure and a stylish silhouette, this jacket marries sustainability with modern design. Its vegan material offers a practical alternative to traditional leather, ensuring a chic look without compromising on ethics. Perfect for fashion-forward individuals seeking both style and environmental consciousness, this piece adds a touch of boldness to any outfit. From the brand: If Joan Rivers were still alive she would say something bitchy about this jacket, like how it looks like you raided the kitchen cabinet hardware section at a Home Depot to make this jacket.  DETAILS: Why We Picked Plant Waste Faux Leather While we love the look of genuine animal leather and how it ages over time, we wanted an option that is both gentler to the environment and allowed our designs to keep their shape and structure without too much upkeep. Our lazy, eek-ho friendly alternative was faux leather made from post-industrial plant waste: discarded plant silk fibers (which are long strands of fiber vs. shorter material that is then spun to create longer fibers) that could no longer be used by other industries. The faux leather we selected is vegan and is bonded with organic fusing agents to create our silhouettes.  Compared to animal leather, Plant Waste leather uses less fresh water in its production and cultivation, less chemicals and additives in the tanning, and because Plant Waste isn't as susceptible to changes in ambient temperature, it doesn't eat up additional resources to keep its quality while in storage.
