The down jacket was invented in Seattle, and less than 80 years later, we have largely lost the ability to make them in the US. However one titan still remains in the Pacific Northwest, or as I call it, the Fertile Crescent of down jackets.

There is an island off the coast of Washington, named Whidbey. Small and covered in forest, this spec on the map harbors some of the PNW's most magnificent wildlife while battling the weather of the Puget Sound. It is one of the wonders of the world.
Whidbey Wonder is a lightweight, quick grab, down jacket in American Chestnut, a dark olive brown mix. This coat helps protect you in the cold despite its lightweight appearance.
We recommend sizing up for a fit that allows layering underneath. But if you prefer it to fit close to the body, like a sweater, stick to your normal size. Full sizing below.
