Product Description

The Scout Jacket offers a modern take on classic workwear inspired by vintage designs. Made from 14oz selvedge denim, this jacket features spacious chore coat-style pockets, a refined fit with a two-piece sleeve, and distinctive western flair accents. Expect minimal break-in time with a comfortable yet structured feel, ensuring versatility in style and function. Crafted by skilled artisans in a unique workshop, it merges heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design effortlessly. From the brand: For the Scout Jacket we wanted a functional modern design, heavily inspired by our favorite heritage workwear garments. Loosely based on a vintage Type III jacket, we ditched the smaller welt pockets in favor of large drop-in  chore coat style pockets, curved the front and back yokes, and added acorn chest pockets and a lasso stitch detail to the front pocket for just a touch of western flair. The fabric is a 14oz. selvedge denim from Vidalia Mills - the last American selvedge denim mill in the country until it shuttered its doors late last year. By far our most popular jeans fabric, it's comfortable right from the first wear but still maintains that rigid raw denim feel. Expect minimal break-in time. A refined take on the classic denim jacket, we added a bit of length to the body and opted for a two-piece sleeve for a better fit. Expect this to fit similarly to a modern modified trucker jacket. As always, every garment is crafted start to finish by one person in the Skinner workshop using 15 vintage industrial sewing machines we've rescued from shuttered factories over the years.
