To build it, we turned to VTX Ripstop, a next-generation stretch NYCO developed by CRYE PRECISION and the CORDURA team at INVISTA. Woven in the USA from 61% nylon, 37% cotton, and 2% Lycra, VTX employs Type 420HT high-tenacity nylon—INVISTA’s strongest nylon fiber—delivering exceptional abrasion resistance, tear strength and shape retention. The ripstop resists blowouts without bulk, while up to 20% mechanical stretch moves naturally and holds its form without over-reliance on elastics that can compromise durability. The No-Melt, No-Drip (NMND) composition retains structure under heat, and a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish sheds rain and environmental moisture.
