Blending British craftsmanship with modern design, Ada has our signature boxy fit and is slightly cropped to sit at the hip. It is light and airy to wear and perfect for all year around.
The slightly cropped length means it works well with skirts and mid to high waist trousers.
The buttons are made in England from corozo nuts. We wanted all of the cardigan to be made from natural materials so that it would be fully biodegradable. So we sourced a 100% cotton grosgrain ribbon for the button stand and pure cotton thread to sew it with.
Our lambswool is brushed with natural teasels after knitting to give it a fluffy slightly felted feel. The teasels are set into a vintage machine
which lifts and pulls the fibres to produce the characteristic fluffy texture. This completely natural and highly effective artisanal technique has been used for centuries to brush and soften yarn.
The Ada cardigan is knitted in the round meaning that it has no seams and is finished by hand. Seamless knitting no only produces a beautiful garment, it uses less yarn and produces significantly less waste.
