Produced for Chamula by native Mexican craftspeople, they feature hand-spun Mexican merino wool, harvested from purebred sheep that are locally grazed in the Mexican mountains.
The yarns and made on small hand-powered spinning wheels, then hand-dyed before being knit together. Following that, the blanket fabric is woven on an antique traditional wooden loom, with a pleasant heft and subtle irregularities. As a result, no two Blanket Ponchos are exactly the same.
