The Tiburon Crewneck is a playful riff on vintage collegiate sweatshirts, with an embroidered design on the front and additional embellishments around the back . The fit is fairly relaxed, with tightly knit ribbing at the hem and cuffs, as well as a thick knit collar for additional comfort. The combination of the roomy torso and snug hem help to create a more exaggerated and classic sweatshirt silhouette.
The sweatshirt pattern itself is based on vintage athletic sweatshirts from between the 30s and 50s. It's made from a 15oz, 100% cotton french terry cloth from Japan that's been given a vintage wash to prematurely patina the fabric and manage all shrinkage. The construction is solid, from the set-in raglan sleeves to the double-needle coverstitched seams - it's built to last a long time. The inside of the knit is unbrushed, giving it a more dry and airy hand that is more suitable for year-round wear.
These run slightly large - if you're between sizes, we suggest taking the smaller of the two. Wash cold and dry flat.
