These are a proper pair of tailored trousers with a handsome "Hollywood waist", where the fabric of the legs continues up to the top and is turned over to finish the waistband. This eliminates the need for a separate waistband piece, creating an exceptionally comfortable and flattering fit. In addition, these feature a split waistband, allowing for size adjustments over time at the tailor, if necessary.
They're made from a 100% wool barathea fabric, produced with worsted wool in a manner similar to vintage working garments. Remarkably soft and warm without being stiff or heavy, Motiv have the textile finished with a wash, giving the face a slightly felted texture and an irregular surface, while also handling any shrinkage. Comfortable from the moment you put them on, the fabric drapes easily and insulates well, making for an outstanding cool-weather trouser.
The trims are subtle, but no less important — from the partial lining through the inside, to the tonal buttons and clean-finish seams, these have been very lovingly produced.
