6027 - Hickory Stripe Apron -
Product Description
Discover a unique garment crafted from rare hickory stripe fabric, originally woven for painters' pants. This durable apron features selvedge edges and a vintage-inspired FULL CREW print that adds character. Designed to withstand the test of time, it's perfect for culinary enthusiasts and creators alike. An ideal blend of functionality and style, this apron brings a touch of history to everyday tasks while ensuring durability for years of use. From the brand: Cotton 100% For the best fit, we recommend measuring a similar jean, jacket, or shirt you own. This hickory stripe was made about 25 years ago and has been sitting in a warehouse ever since. This material, which was woven to the absolute limits of the power loom was intended to be used to make painters' pants at the time, but the idea was rejected by the factory due to the high density and toughness of the fabric. I recently took it out of storage and thought it could be sewn into an apron, so we gave it a try. The edges of the fabric are of course selvedge, and the FULL CREW print has a cracked look for a great atmosphere. I'm sure it'll be strong enough to be used as a faithful apron for many years.
