WARREN BASE is made from 100% 8oz cotton and is constructed without sideseams, using 100% cotton sewing thread. The MILITARY TEE is hand-printed at our Kobe HQ with an F.E. WARREN BASE motif on the front, featuring the iconic “Hap Arnold Wing” symbol, named in honor of General Henry Harley “Hap” Arnold. Designed by James T. Rawls, an artist and member of General Arnold’s staff, the insignia underwent several revisions before being approved. It is said that Rawls tilted the wings upward after seeing a photograph of Winston Churchill’s “V for Victory,” giving the symbol its distinctive look. Francis E. Warren Air Force Base , located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is the oldest continuously active military installation in the U.S. Air Force. Originally established in 1867 as Fort David Allen Russell, it was renamed in 1930 to honor Francis E. Warren, a Civil War Medal of Honor recipient and Wyoming’s first governor. The base transitioned to Air Force control in 1947 and became an Air Force base in 1949. F.E. Warren AFB is historically connected to the 90th Bombardment Group , known as the “Jolly Rogers.” Activated in 1942, the group served in the Pacific during World War II. Its lineage is preserved through the 90th Missile Wing , now stationed at F.E. Warren AFB, which oversees Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles under the Air Force Global Strike Command. 100% Cotton Cotton Fabric, 8 oz. Rubber Print on Front Made in Japan
