Devotion Ring II (Carnelian & Sapphire)
Product Description
Inspired by historical art, the Devotion Ring II features a unique design echoing the wedding band of Maria Baroncelli from a 15th-century portrait. Crafted from 100% recycled 14k gold, this ring showcases a pair of captivating 3mm gemstones, a sapphire and a carnelian, in a refined petal-detailed setting. Its tapered profile and cut-out details enhance its elegance, making it a timeless statement piece suitable for any occasion. Available in custom finishes to suit personal style. From the brand: The Devotion Ring II is based on the jewelry in Hans Memling’s two-panel portrait of Tommaso Portinari and his wife, Maria Baroncelli, painted ca. 1470. The couple is portrayed in prayer, donning in the high style of their day, including two austere but remarkable devotional bands. Devotion II plays on Baroncelli’s presumed wedding band, and serves as the double-gemmed counterpart to the Devotion I ring. Each band is convex and slightly tapered with petal cut-out details that reveal two stones in a 4-prong and petal detailed setting. Our Devotion Ring II tapers from 6mm to 4.5mm wide and features a 3mm sapphire and 3mm carnelian cabochon. Crafted in 100% recycled 14k gold and available in a finish of your choosing (our preference is brushed gold as shown in the images). We are delighted to offer this style in higher karat metals and different precious gemstones. Reach out to us at inquiries@jhannahjewelry.com for pricing. Painting details: Tommaso di Folco Portinari (1428–1501), Maria Portinari (Maria Maddalena Baroncelli, born 1456) ca. 1470
