Product Description

This mid-century inspired Cotton Pile Skipper blends style and comfort effortlessly. Crafted from soft, detailed Terry Cloth, it features an open buttonless placket and a relaxed skipper collar, embodying a casual yet refined aesthetic. With an above elbow sleeve, single chest pocket, and classic fit, this versatile piece showcases a rich heritage in resort wear and sports. Available in earthy tones, it’s perfect for elevating everyday leisure. From the brand: The COTTON PILE SKIPPER is an eminently mid-century Polo with an open buttonless placket, constructed of a luxuriously soft and detailed Terry Cloth, finished more elegantly than ubiquitous Terry Towelling. The Skipper Collar and highly absorbent fabric are consistent with the nautical provenance of the piece and the open neck collar is more relaxed and assured than its buttoned counterpart. The COTTON PILE SKIPPER is garment dyed and has an above elbow sleeve, single chest pocket and classic fit. Popular from the late 30s to the 50s, the Skipper polo was employed as Resort Wear, but also for sports and recreation and would often be paired with a wide linen pant or shorts, tucked or untucked depending on the activity. Available in BROWN, NAVY and WHITE. Will Shrink when washed before easing out again with wear Unique Cotton Terry Cloth Garment Dyed Made in Japan
