We found that vintage Reunion or Beer Jackets, and Senior Cords often were fabricated from these lighter tones, and elevated with bright signatures and academic motifs. These pieces are also incredibly rare in the vintage world, so we created our own iteration of these styles through the SZ lens. During our research for this group, we looked through numerous yearbooks from the 1930’s - 1950’s to decide what would realistically end up on these styles. They were filled with whimsical doodles, inside jokes, and collaged photos. We created our own mascots, crests, (also inspired by our own high school experiences) and a highly detailed yearbook signature page as a focal point for this group.
