From the brand: This heavyweight cotton tickweave "canvas" is a fabric we've been wanting to develop for a long time. Part of the beauty of Wythe is being able to bring some of these fabrics back to life that have since been lost to time. It's based on a fabric used from the 1930s through the early 1950s across a couple of different workwear brands. This was during the time when you'd see a lot of denim-alternative-but-still-workwear fabric being introduced. It's a surprisingly soft fabric for how durable it is, but still has the ability to break in with wear.
Originally this pant was intended to be a continuation of our unbleached heavyweight canvas pant from a previous season. But as we developed the fabric for the barn jackets, we quickly realized we should be using this on a pant as well. These pants are a further evolution of our popular silhouette, but given a new story.
