Product Description

Designed for rugged conditions, the Ranger Insulated Anorak features a water-resistant waxed cotton shell combined with PrimaLoft® Gold insulation for excellent warmth and wet-weather performance. Its pullover design and classic half-length zipper, complemented by a drawcord-adjustable hood and front cargo pockets, merge vintage Arctic style with modern practicality, making it perfect for outdoor adventures and everyday wear alike. From the brand: Our Ranger Insulated Anorak combines the design of vintage Arctic gear with the weather resistance of heritage waxed cotton and leading-edge insulation. The water-resistant shell is patterned after the smocks worn by early mountaineers and WWII-era troops serving in arctic units. The pullover design was dictated by the demand for rugged simplicity in the harshest conditions. The roots of anoraks trace back to ancient Greenland. The Ranger fabric from England’s historic British Millerain is treated with a special dry-waxed finish that is water-resistant and washable. The insulation is PrimaLoft® Gold, a premium lightweight, compressible fill that retains 98% of its insulating ability when wet. PrimaLoft was developed when the U.S. Army required a light and warm alternative to goose down with superior wet-weather performance. The half-length front zipper is shielded by a snapped storm guard. A pass-through kangaroo pocket rides behind the front snap-flap cargo pockets. Drawcord-adjustable hood and hem. Classic Filson double cuffs with rib-knit interior and snap-tab adjustability of the exterior shell fabric.
