From the brand: John Lofgren uses Dr. Edward Munson's traditional military last, specially designed for U.S. Military Service Boots in 1912. Dr. Munson studied the feet of thousands of soldiers over roughly half a decade in order to develop a supremely comfortable and rugged last that fits virtually all foot shapes, and would allow soldiers to perform their duties in WWII. The Munson last runs large, we recommend sizing down one half size from your standard Brannock measurement.

The Munson last was patented in 1912 by U.S. Army doctor, Edward Munson. Dr. Munson perfected his last after studying the feet of more than two thousand soldiers. The roughout uppers are Horween Chromexcel, who was a supplier to the U.S. Army for the original service shoes during WWII.
