Crafted from 13.5oz Japanese Rainbow Selvedge Denim, these jeans feature a vintage wash that delivers exceptional softness without compromising on durability. Utilizing a unique low-tension weave with uneven yarns, the fabric creates a nostalgic 1950s aesthetic while allowing for a deeper indigo hue. Complete with custom branding and a hidden fifth-pocket Selvedge ID, these jeans offer the ideal blend of style and comfort for casual wear. From the brand: EDWIN's new Japanese Rainbow Selvedge Denim weighs in at 13.5oz, and is custom woven by Kaihara Mills in Japan on vintage machinery, woven at a low speed and tension to create truly vintage selvedge denim. A mixture of American and Australian long-staple cotton are used for a softer hand, with the additional benefit of the stark white colour of these cottons allowing a deeper indigo dye to occur. The warp and weft threads are spun differently for traditional texture, with the warp featuring natural middle-pitched uneven yarns to allow 1940's/50's esque fading on the warp, while the weft incorporates shorter-pitched uneven yarns, twisted tightly for a crunchier weave. Kamakura is a summery, heavily washed Japanese Selvedge Denim with a very light indigo hue, featuring the same 13.5oz vintage weave denim that makes all of EDWIN's new selvedge jeans so excellent. Thanks to the washing process, these jeans have a veritable softness within the vintage texture they are steeped in, serving as a perfect pair of washed out vintage jeans for a casual day without giving up any of the quality or durability you are used to.
