To kick off the season we are opening pre-orders on our upcoming Brooklyn Clothing X White’s Boots exclusive 35th Anniversary makeups, including a duo of heritage makeups featuring Seidel's bulletproof Black Oil Tan Roughout.
Seidel’s Oil Tan Roughout is an extremely soft and supple yet durable leather that has been given a light oiling for a matte finish, so you can be sure it will hold up and age nicely while being very wearable. The reverse side of a smooth leather, known as roughout, offers a suede-like soft hand, but without any of the delicate aspects of a suede. Roughout is about as durable as leather gets, offering incredible amounts of abrasion resistance and hiding scuffs and scratches. It is also very weather resistant, with snow and water posing no issue while also featuring a soft, textured nap that holds up extremely well.
White’s version of the Engineer Boot, the Cykel, is their interpretation of a classic motorcycling icon made famous in post-WWII America by figures such as Marlon Brando and James Dean. The pull-on nature of an Engineer Boot paired with the supple hand of Seidel’s Oil Tan leaves us with an incredibly wearable boot that doesn’t cut corners when it comes to durability and longevity, and should break in easily while holding up for many years to come. Built with black Seidel Roughout across all panels, contrasted with black smooth Oil Tan straps. Built with a 10” height on White’s 9165 last for solid arch support, on top of black Vibram Mini Lug half soles and Quabaug heels, high quality leather midsoles, nickel buckles, stamped Brooklyn logos on the tongues, and crafted with resoleable stitchdown construction.
