It is also a staple in UES' outerwear collection, though this season the jacket has been made with slightly different specifications, so it has a slightly shorter (about 4cm) body length, which is more authentic to the original military models. These jackets feature an acrylic fur lined body, and microfleece lined sleeves for sufficient heat retention, with the additional appeal of being washable at home. Available in either camel denim, or indigo tricotine.
Tricotine is an original UES indigo fabric, featuring a very high density weave created through plenty of research into vintage military fabrics. Weighing in at 15.15 oz after being woven on vintage power looms, tricotine is woven "as densely as possible," producing a completely unique texture that appears to be a knit at first glance, paired with rigidity and thickness. This ensures that this fabric will bring about some of the most impressive fades on the market. The yarns are rope-dyed in indigo prior to being woven together, so with wear and time the undyed cores of the yarns will show through, leading to some attractive pale blues and great indigo variation across the jacket.
