IH-888s-21od 21oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans Indigo Overdyed Black

Crafted from 21oz overdyed indigo selvedge denim, these relaxed tapered jeans blend tradition with modernity. The direct dyeing process ensures a dark hue while eliminating shrinkage, allowing for lasting wear. The jeans feature a medium/high rise and will develop unique fades over time, offering a subtle blue tone in high-wear areas. Made in Japan, they are designed for comfort and style, making them a versatile addition to any wardrobe. From the brand: Iron Heart's medium/high rise, relaxed tapered cut jeans, constructed from 21oz overdyed indigo selvedge denim. To create this darkened variation, they take a pair of standard IH-888S-21 jeans and steep the entire garment in black dye using a direct dyeing process. This stains the indigo denim and stitching, with the added bonus of removing all shrinkage from the fabric. A unique middle ground between traditional indigo and black denims, over time the fabric will gradually fade with blue-tinged hues in high-wear areas. Please note that previous versions of these jeans were overdyed using sulphur dye. Due to the environmental impact of sulphur dyes, Iron Heart have decided to switch to a direct dyeing process when overdyeing heavyweight denims. The only noticeable difference is that this new process does not oxidise the brass hardware as previously. You can still expect these jeans to age and fade similarly to older models.
