Made from a French terry knit of organic cotton and Rambouillet wool, this sweater is dyed in a gradient with American madder. As we chose to dye this garment naturally, the color varies between pink and orange. Round neckline, low armhole and loose fit.
About the Montloup x atelier b collaboration
Capsule collection created following an invitation from Lila Rousselet, the founder of
Montloup
a Montreal-based company that creates and designs knitted fabrics in Canada. Lila wanted to showcase the most ethical and responsible fibers available. The designs are made from Foxfibre naturally colored organic cotton knits®. The cotton is sourced from
Viriditas
farm in California. Sally is a pioneer in the production of organic colored cotton and a global leader in sustainable agriculture. The Foxfibre® is a registered trademark she developed. The wool is sourced from Lani Estill, who owns the company
Lani's Lana
based in northern California. Rambouillet wool is very similar to merino wool in its quality and softness. The vegetable dyeing is done by Marie-Eve Dion of
Marie-Les-Bains
located in Eastman, Quebec. It is an honor for us to work with these women who make our industry progress!
