The IWC chronograph watch has been a mainstay in the Schaffhausen based watchmaker’s catalogue since 1994. Packed with innovative materials and functions, the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 is a classic stopwatch tool that offers unlimited applications for use in everyday situations. The 41mm stainless steel model features a captivating deep blue dial equipped with a trio of chronographs positioned in the 6, 9, 12 o’clock formation. The Calibre 69385, which lies inside an improved 100 meter water resistant case, propels a set of beautifully carved luminous coated hands around the dial with an air of grace. The movement is equipped with a column wheel escapement and provides a very useful 46 hour power reserve. Composed of 231 hand assembled parts, this self winding movement from the Calibre 69000 series oscillates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is put on show through a sapphire crystal glass caseback.
The IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 also offers a striking red coated hand inside the small seconds sub counter at 6 o’clock, along with the day and date features dressed against a white background at 3 o’clock. Creating balance to the rest of the dial are the two chronograph sub counters, a 30 minute dial at 12 o’clock and 12 hour totaliser at 9 o’clock.
