Handwoven at Norlha’s Atelier in the Tibetan Plateau, it is made entirely of the khullu of one yak. Each summer, yaks naturally shed khullu, which is the ultra-fine undercoat that keeps yak insulated during harsh Tibetan winters. The unique, loose weave was developed by Norlha’s master weaver using only two of the four pedals on the loom. Finished with cropped fringe on both ends, the large size allows you to throw it over your shoulders like a shawl, or fold it over and wrap it around your neck for a snug fit.
