The cotton fabric of these soft piled socks is modeled after vintage sweatshirts. For a more similar look, each sock is knitted with Raffy yarn, uneven yarn produced by blending 25% of cotton waste in long staple cotton. To maintain the unique uneven feel, the yarn is slowly spun at Japanese factories with a spinning method that has not been changed for over 50 years. The irregular surface is not seen on modern mass-produced products, adding a retro feel like vintage sweatshirts to the item. The ‘R’ for ROTOTO is inlaid on the side with cut boss knitting to resemble a felt patch on a sweatshirt.
