From the brand: オーガニックコットンを使用した、ベーシックで飽きのこないリブソックスを３足パックにしました。伸縮性が必要なかかとから上は1×1リブで編むことでソフトフィットに。かかとから下は革靴などを履いてもダブつきにくいよう、伸縮の少ない「天竺編み」に仕上げています。生成はもちろん、綿本来の色を現代に蘇らせた＜茶綿＞のブラウンは未染色のオーガニックコットンを使用。グレーカラーの素材も＜緑綿＞という希少な薄緑の綿に草木染めで色を定着させる”媒染”という技術を応用し、化学反応でグレーに変化させた未染色のオーガニックコットンです。もともと緑綿の耐光堅牢度が悪く、太陽光で退色するのを防ぐための研究の中から、このグレーカラーが生まれました。

This combo pack includes three pairs of simply designed socks made of organic cotton. The leg of each sock is 1x1 rib knitted for soft stretch, while the foot is jersey knitted for less stretch to avoid the item to be crumpled in leather shoes. Knitted with naturally colored cotton (Chamen), the brown pairs are undyed, let alone the ecru one. The gray color is created also not by dyeing but by causing a chemical reaction on rare pale green cotton (Midorimen), while applying a plant dying method called mordanting to fix the color. The color was born as a by-product of a study to prevent Midorimen cotton from color fading by sunlight because the material inherently has low color fastness to light.
