"CRAG" series is an eye-catching collection utilising fabrics with a unique texture and depth of colour that can only be produced by product dyeing.
Using the brand's original back satin fabric, –a high-density weave of a blend of nylon and cotton– Porter uses a "two bath dyeing" method in which two types of dyeing solutions are used in succession, followed by a drying process that creates a firm and unique texture in the fabric.
This method takes advantage of the technological advancements made in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, with its thriving textile industry and expertise in safe, environmentally friendly dyeing techniques.
This type of product dyeing produces differences in colour, wrinkles and shrinkage at the time of finishing, so each piece is unique.
