From the brand: From Joe McCoy, a Western-style Down Vest that's been developed by meticulously studying and recreating Vests that originated in the 60s and became popular with ranchers and mountaineers across the American West in the early 1970s. Since that time, various materials have been used for down waistcoats but this edition pays homage to its Cowboy legacy, fabricated in Roughout Leather, superior to suede and a preferred material by Cowboys for its durability and resistance to abrasion. To further improve durability, this Down Vest benefits from leather-reinforced press studs and felled seams to prevent tearing at the armhole and side. The Western silhouette Yoke is fabricated in Seal Brown Horsehide leather. Between the cowhide outer and nylon lining is a thick layer of French Duck Down Insulation to create a very warm layering piece.
