C.C.C. WOOL JACKET / OLIVE
Product Description
Inspired by the Civilian Conservation Corps, this Joe McCoy C.C.C Wool Jacket combines history with contemporary style. Crafted from oil-cut wool, the jacket features a melton wool shell, a unique cossack-style knit collar, and elasticated waist with ribbing for comfort. Ideal for outdoor adventures or urban exploration, this jacket balances function and heritage aesthetics beautifully, making it a versatile addition to any wardrobe. From the brand: The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), established in 1933 as part of FDR's "New Deal," was responsible for outdoor projects like creating and maintaining national parks. The CCC's clothing was managed by the U.S. Army Quartermaster, and when a winter jacket was needed, they drew heavy inspiration from the U.S. Army's Type A-1 jacket. Introduced in the mid-1930s, the CCC's jacket transitioned from the Type A-1's leather to a thick melton wool shell, featuring a cossack style knit collar, heavy knitted cuffs, and an elasticated waist. The Joe McCoy C.C.C Wool Jacket is constructed from Oil Cut Wool, a wool which has been treated to reduce the oil content, giving it a more vintage texture and making it less prone to attracting dirt and easier to maintain. The distinctive waistband is made from a wool & cotton ribbing. Oil-cut wool Wool Collar & Cuff Ribbing Wool & Cotton Ribbed Hem Cotton Sewing Thread Made in Japan
