Wie der Name schon verrät, handelt es sich hierbei um eine Neuinterpretation des ikonischen Air Jordan 4. Der RM ist flacher geschnitten als der reguläre 4er. Statt der typischen Wings des 4ers setzt Nike für den RM außerdem auf einen abgewandelten TPU-Cage. Für das Upper setzt Nike auf eine Kombination aus Glattleder, Suede und Mesh.
