From the brand: One of a handful of "Surf Clubs" advertised in magazines during the surfing boom of the 1960's. By filling out the membership request and mailing it in with the membership fee, a club member would usually receive an official membership card as well as some identifying club branded gift such as a t-shirt or sticker. While obviously a gimmick, the opportunity to be part of a surf club for kids across the country was a chance to be part of a cultural phenomenon as surfing was exploding into the social conscious of both consumers and marketers.
