This pendant is engraved with the masonic logo and the Eye of Providence, and Annuit Cœptis is engraved on both sides of the pendant, which is one of two mottos on the reverse side of the Great Seal of the United States. The literal translation is "favors (or "has favored") [our] undertakings", from Latin annuo ("I approve, I favor"), and coeptum ("commencement, undertaking").
