What woman in your life has been the greatest source of inspiration to you?
My personal “Auntie” collective is by far the greatest source of inspiration, strength, and encouragement. These are the women who complete the village my mom entrusts to provide me an ever flowing supply of love and guidance. Along with my mother, they have shown me how to give, how to fight and how to do it with style!
When do you feel like the strongest version of yourself?
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always used fashion to remind me of my strength. In high school I dressed in blazers on exam day. Now, as an adult I fully embrace my natural hair, my body, and my style; even when things don’t “fit.” It is important for me to use my outer appearance to show how much I love what I am on the the inside… fears, faults and all.
How do you hope to inspire the next generation of women?
I hope to inspire the next generation by taking the risks needed to move the needle forward. I truly want to leave our spaces safe and more empowering as our young women rise to fill these areas. In my roles as a business owner, an aunt and a friend there are so many moments to mentor and nurture your women searching for their voices and their power.
