Dozer graduated from Northern Michigan K9 Inc. in May of 2014 and was certified as a dual-purpose narcotics and patrol dog. Dozer would later be promoted to the rank of Sergeant in July of 2022.
During Dozer's career, he was deployed on over 1,100 canine related calls for service. Dozer not only served the Hoffman Estates Police Department, but assisted numerous other Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement Agencies as well.
Dozer's accomplishments include the recovery of approximately 350 pounds of illegal narcotics, the seizure of over $1,300,000 in drug related currency, searching for over 100 criminal offenders, and tracking 23 lost or missing persons.
Dozer enjoyed spending time with his family, his co-workers, and the citizens of Hoffman Estates and would engage playfully with anyone willing to throw his tennis ball. Most of all, Dozer loved to work and continued to do so up until his passing on March 16, 2024.
