Another silhouette of Motiv's outstanding shirt patterns, the Gyorgy shirt is inspired by and named for Hungarian-French virtuoso Gyorgy Cziffra, cut with a wide and airy bodice, small collar, and full sleeves. The wide angle of the collar is achieved through its rectangular shape, and sits naturally open when unbuttoned. The single chest pocket features a subtle military gusset, allowing the pocket to additionally expand if necessary, but letting it sit flat otherwise.
This lightweight linen broadcloth is woven using fine count yarns at a very high density, creating a fabric that is light and airy yet structured and draping. An ideal summer fabric, the 100% linen yarns breathe better than cotton does, wicking moisture and drying more quickly as well.
The details are great too, from the tonal buttons, to the gathering at the cuffs, to the angular seam reinforcements at the gussets on the hem. Speaking of the hem - it's long and rounded, perfect for wearing tucked in to your favorite pants or trousers, but still elegant and handsome if worn untucked.
