From the brand: The Métier Jacket is a 3-button jacket inspired by a vintage French bartender's jacket found at the St. Ouen flea market. Halfway between a casual jacket and a more formally-tailored one, it can be dressed up or down easily thanks to its elevated details and unstructured fit, a smart and classic every-day work jacket.
It's made from a heavyweight cotton corduroy, woven in Italy from 100% Indian cotton that's certified by the Oeko Tex Standard 100, meaning it's completely free of harmful chemicals or substances. The fabric is dense and sturdy feeling, better described as robust or substantial than as stiff. It's got a pleasantly wide wale (the size of the corduroy ridges), and insulates well, with a ton of textural and tonal variety across the surface.
Closing up with real horn buttons, it has three external pockets and another two on the inside for storage, and is unlined through the body, but features a clean internal finish, with no exposed or unfinished seams. It's produced by the atelier of Mr. Erbas in Pantin, France.
