In the kimono's artwork, James
reflected the dusty tones of the red, green, and yellow shrubbery found at high elevation in Nepal's Himalayan mountains.
Originally a large-scale painted work on canvas, he photographed a minute section of the canvas to be used as the kimono's print. The photograph was then digitally printed onto silk to be cut and transformed into our contemporary kimono.
With the close-up perspective of the canvas, the artwork's brushstrokes add a painterly feel to the piece, as if the paint is still drying.
Made in London.
Sustainability
The kimono is manufactured at a small-batch production studio in South London. The studio specializes in high-end production, working with many emerging designers and brands in the city. Each piece is made by hand in-studio by their talented seamstresses and cutters.
It takes over four hours to cut and sew just one kimono.

Packaging
Our apparel products are shipped in a 100% compostable mailer. After removing the shipping labels, your mailer will decompose after six months in a household compost, or after three months in a commercial compost, leaving no harmful residues behind. Our stickers are also compostable as they are printed with soy-based inks.
Our tissue paper is made of 100% recycled pulp and our comp cards are printed on FSC-certified paper.
