Our Kashmiri leaf pattern is a celebration of the iconic print that has been travelled over centuries from its Persian origins to the European shores by the East India Company by the Silk Route in the 18

century to become a favourite even appropriated by the English under the “Paisley” name. The original droplet like motif
“boteh" or “Buta” is a representation of a floral spray combined with a cypress tree, a symbol of fertility and eternity.
