DarleneHere is the The Cloud Puff™ Maxi from the Wilfred line at Aritzia. It is a long, funnel-necked, down puffer jacket that is water-repellant and wind resistant. I had to size down because it is very oversized. I usually wear a size medium, and found that the xxs fitted me best. Even after downsizing, I still had room to layer with a thick hoodie underneath. Depending on how much layering you prefer, I would keep that in mind before purchasing. It is the warmest jacket that I own and is made to protect me in -40 degrees weather! Because of it's length, I can trust this jacket to keep me cozy even if I was baring my legs in a dress underneath. The matted outer texture and maxi style make this puffer practical but pretty! For all these reasons, this is my everyday winter jacket. After all, the best winter coats not only keep you warm, but provide the perfect finishing touch to every outfit.

DarleneMy favourite blazer thus far. This was a recent purchase at the local H&M outlet and unfortunately, I can't find the exact one online :( I linked some similar styles in hopes that you can find one that you like. It is their double breasted blazer from their "conscious" line in the size medium. I would definitely say that it is an "oversized" blazer, as it has a straighter silhouette and falls past my mid-thigh (I'm short! ...almost 5"3), as opposed to more fitted/tailored looking blazers. I would describe the colour as a "taupy"-stone with a hint of ivy green. I also didn't notice this before, but after taking a photo with it on, it almost appears slightly reflective, which is pretty rad. It is stunning in person and I can see it being one of my staple pieces! I paired this with a basic white camisole and cropped slim-leg trousers from Artizia's Babaton line.

DarleneCan you believe these are leggings? Well, they are legging-dress pants. What makes them unique is that they have a front slit at the ankle, which gives it an edgy yet dressy vibe! They are high-waisted with an elastic band. I would suggest wearing them with any bodysuit (this one is from dynamite), paired with some heels because they are LONG! If you're a shorter girl like me, you'll want to add some height otherwise they will sweep the ground.

DarleneThat face you make when you realize you really did that (the outfit!) This satin blazer from Zara is the top version of the wide-leg dress pants from my previous post! I usually don't wear sets because I think they can look a little too matchy matchy, but THIS! THIS. THIS. THIS. I really surprised myself and everyone (pleasantly) with this matching holiday set! I am wearing a size small in the blazer and pants and I would say they fit perfectly-this is not an oversized blazer (make sure to check out my measurements). Of course, all these pieces can be worn without their counterpart and can go with various pieces. Since this pattern is more on the 'spectacular' side, it would also pair well with a piece that is more toned down. For example, I would also wear this blazer with some fitted jeans any time of the year!

DarleneI've received so many compliments on these pants! In a previous post, I mentioned that I would be pairing this cowl neck camisole with a piece that would accommodate a more "dressed up" look. Here it is! These are Zara's high-waisted wide leg pants. For reference, I typically wear a size 4/27, these are a "small" and I would say they fit just right! In person, they have a satin-wrinkly almost wet type look. It is a front zip, with front pockets, and has button closure. These were my holiday pants, but I know that I'll be wearing them all year round to special occasions or nights when I just want to get dressed up.

DarleneYou already know I'm a fan of Dynamite and silk. This is their cowl neck camisole in the colour "hazel". In person, I would describe the colour as pearl or champagne. This top has a drawstrings on both sides that create a ruching type pattern in the fabric. The drawstrings allow you to manipulate how tight or relaxed you want the ruching to appear. I got this in a size medium, and I would say that it is true to size. I kept this look semi-casual with some skinny jeans and square-toed ankle boots from H&M. I linked my boots as well, but unfortunately this exact colour is not on their website. Dress it up, or dress it down. In my next posts, you will see how I dressed this adorable top up!
