Nisa (nisa.co.nz) was a New Zealand-based ethical fashion brand, founded in Wellington in 2017 by Elisha Watson. Operating as a social enterprise, its core mission was to provide meaningful employment and a supportive community for women from refugee and migrant backgrounds, who hand-sewed the garments. The brand offered a range of sustainable underwear, swimwear, activewear, and loungewear for all genders, prioritizing comfort, quality, and inclusive sizing (XS to 4XL). Products were crafted from GOTS certified organic cotton and ECONYL® recycled nylon. Despite its positive social impact and loyal customer base, Nisa faced financial challenges and ultimately ceased operations, closing its online and physical stores in April 2025.
